Becker's Restaurant
In a country setting ten minutes from downtown is a rustic restaurant where Chef Kami Cochrane showcases colourful dishes from fresh local ingredients. Everything is made from scratch, including sauces and desserts (Kami is a trained pastry chef). The warm oak and fir décor with big stone fireplace is distinctly Canadian; and while the cuisine is gourmet, the atmosphere is 'casually elegant' and friendly. Window tables provide Kerkeslin and Hardisty mountain views. After eating, stroll the upper Athabasca River bank or relax in an Adirondack chair overlooking Becker's 'roaring river' rapid.
